Hira Malik

Hira is an Associate Attorney with McBreen Kopko & Dayal LLP.  In 2017, Hira was admitted to the Indiana Bar and in 2019 was admitted to the Illinois Bar.  With friends and family in the medical field, Hira has seen firsthand how litigation impacts those professionals who serve to protect, treat, and heal people in our society. Hira is committed to the defense of physicians, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other health care providers in medical malpractice matters.

Prior to joining McBreen Kopko & Dayal LLP, Hira worked for the State of Indiana in a variety of roles such as a Deputy Prosecutor for Boone County and Marion County as well as Deputy City Prosecutor for the City of Indianapolis.  With her background in criminal law, Hira has gained extensive experience in litigation and has a thorough understanding of the procedures and culture of the courtroom and what to expect during trial. With Hira’s competitive nature and prior experience being a voice for victims, Hira can provide compassionate representation balanced with aggressive litigation skills.

Hira graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017 and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and Policy from Saint Louis University in 2014.  During law school, Hira earned the Pro Bono Program’s Gold Level award for amassing more than two hundred (200) Pro Bono hours. Further, Hira was a tutor with the Deans Tutorial Society, a program that provides academic assistance and tutoring to first- year law students by second- and third-year law students.
