Aliscia Burkett is an associate attorney at McBreen Kopko and Dayal, LLP. In 2020, Aliscia was admitted to the Illinois Bar. Prior to joining the Firm, Aliscia worked as an Assistant Public Defender for Champaign County. Aliscia’s background in criminal defense has given her extensive experience in preparing for trials and litigating on behalf of clients. She is skillful in defending challenging disputes and has persuasive negotiation skills, which she dedicates to achieving her clients’ goals. Aliscia has committed her advocacy skills to defending the healthcare community.
Aliscia graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law in 2020 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2017. While in law school, Aliscia interned for the Cook County State’s Attorney Office where she gained courtroom experience. The internship also provided Aliscia a comprehensive understanding of the entire litigation process. Aliscia further participated in Loyola’s criminal defense clinic where she argued and won sentencing matters.
