Sean is an Associate Attorney with McBreen Kopko & Dayal LLP. In 2014, Sean was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Sean has dedicated his practice to the defense of physicians, podiatrists, dentists, nurse practitioners, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care providers in medical malpractice matters. Prior to joining McBreen Kopko & Dayal LLP, Sean practiced medical malpractice defense, including 1983 actions, at a Chicago defense firm. Sean has been honored with a 2019 Trial Lawyers Award of Excellence by the Jury Verdict Reporter. He has also been selected as one of the Emerging Lawyers by his Peers.
Sean graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 2010. During law school, Sean was a member of the Health Law Society and Advocates, participating in legal negotiations and mediation competitions. He also worked in the Non-Capital Division of the Texas Innocence Network, working in conjunction with the Death Penalty Clinic to investigate incarcerated individuals’ claims of innocence.
